Our Work

Since 2017, our work has focused on making tangible contributions in our immigrant community, based on immigrant input.

Legal Services

Immigration legal services are critical to the economic, physical and mental health of immigrant community members. We provide low-cost and pro bono legal services, including the following services:

Naturalization (citizenship)
Family-based petitions/applications
Adjustment of status (green card) applications
Self-petitions for battered spouses and children
Violence Against Women Act
U Visas for victims of crimes
T Visas for victims of trafficking
Applications for Temporary Protected Status
Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals
SIJS

We also advocate for Immigration Legal Defense Funds at the city, county and state level in support of Universal Representation so every immigrant in the immigration system has a fair shot at lawful relief.

Bilingual Navigation Services

We provide Driver’s License navigation and guidance to our partially documented and undocumented immigrant community. To date, we have provided more than 700 license appointments. We are a trusted DMV community partner and we hold quarterly driver’s license workshops and work with clients one-on-one to get them ready for their license appointments.

Forward Together

We address key immigrant health needs through three community-driven initiatives: (1) bilingual and bicultural Peer-to-Peer support for our legal clients; (2) assistance with OmniSalud health insurance and Medicaid applications; and (3) women’s health referrals.

At license workshops, we walk through the DMV’s process with each person and help them obtain any missing requirements (ITIN, certified taxes). When they’re ready, we check their documents, get them an appointment, and help them be prepared for their appointments.

We rallied in front of Senator Cory Gardner’s office to advocate for the DREAM and Promise Act with our friends at (then) Loveland LULAC, Indivisible NOCO, Fort Collins for Progress and ISAAC of Northern Colorado.

Past Work:

COVID-19 Relief

Many of the families we work for did not qualify for government relief because of their immigration status. However, it is their labor that powers our economy in industries such as the food industry, hospitality, retail, healthcare, agriculture, construction, and education. Our immigrant community was heavily impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. As a result, we established a COVID-19 relief fund to directly distribute critical rent and food assistance.

We worked to connect and refer our clients with external emergency aid by partnering with ISAAC, Left Behind Workers Fund, Neighbor 2 Neighbor and 9 to 5. We have also worked with coalitions across Colorado to ensure our communities are aware of prevention, testing and vaccination information, while providing them with meals, P-EBT and SNAP navigation.

State-wide Campaigns

We are a member of the Latinx Community Network (LCN), the Statewide LDF steering committee, iDrive, and the Immigrant Rights Coalition (CIRC).

We collaborate with:

  • Census 2020
  • iDrive Steering Committee
  • Know Your Rights Presentations in Northern Colorado
  • Increasing awareness of/access to SB251 Driver’s Licenses
  • Growing the Colorado Rapid Response Network (CORRN)
